Relational trauma and emotional neglect happens when an individual experiences repeated mistreatment at the hands of someone else. This mistreatment is demeaning and ignores the dignity, safety, and well-being of the individual.
This might stem from repeated experiences of neglect, verbal abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, intimidation and fear, unstable, chaotic, and overwhelming types of behavior that causes lasting psychological harm. It has a significant impact on ones ability to develop healthy, trusting and satisfying relationships. It negatively affects ones emotional, psychological, behavioral, and even physical health.

We all have conflict with from time to time. When you are experiencing stress and anxiety when interacting with those around you, it can be life changing to learn how to identify and set boundaries and learn how to implement effective and assertive communication skills.
